Richard B. Murphy
Vice Chairman & Chief Lending Officer

Rich Murphy serves as Wintrust’s vice chairman and chief lending officer, responsible for all lending functions of the company. He also oversees Wintrust Mortgage, First Insurance Funding, and Wintrust Life Finance. Previously, Rich has also served as Wintrust’s chief credit officer and president of Hinsdale Bank & Trust. He is currently on the Finance Committee of the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, is a director of the Big Shoulders Fund, and is involved with After School Matters and the American Writers Museum.
